The Body Parts: The Game
About
This is a science videogame, made in Turbowarp, where you control the parts of the body by doing the right things to digest food and breathe air. Your goal in the game is to get the highest score possible, without dying from hunger or a lack of oxygen. This game is made to help people learn about the parts of the body.
What is Turbowarp?
Turbowarp is an off-brand scratch mod (modification) that makes projects run faster by turning code into Javascript.
The program it is based on is Scratch, is a coding environment that helps kids understand and learn coding by using blocks to manipulate the experience they are making.
How to play
You, as the player, must gain knowledge to operate the body. You must control the digestive system and respiratory systems to survive.
Your goal is to get the most points without running out of lives. You lose a life if you have a lack of air in the respiratory system or a lack of food in the digestive system.
To regain lives, you must use the body’s healing processes.
Why did I make the game?
I made is to be an educational tool to teach people about what each part of the digestive system, along with some parts of the respiratory system and immune system, does.
As I continue this project,
I will work on adding more elements to the respiratory system and more to the immune system (other than just the healing functions). I will also add more game mechanics and a way to make it more enjoyable for the player.
